The illustrations in this sweet book about a boy who slowly shrinks because he is away from his mommy for too long, are voluptuous. The mommy is voluptuous too.
I could just stare at them forever. Sometimes you can almost feel the joy the painter experienced while painting, just by looking at the finished piece.
And I love the wonky perspectives presented here.
So the boy leaves his grandma's and goes home to his mommy who cooks a ton of food for him and he grows. Lovely.
