new

A crocheted heart that Helen gave me...
A jade cutting from Dawn in a new blue pot
my homemade cleaning supplies and a new homemade sugar body scrub
peppermint and apricot kernel oil sugar scrub
works wonders on winter legs...

that sounds wonderful, so what's the recipe (for the sugar scrub) I just paid 16$ for a tub of it because I had gift card, but I seems like it would be a good thing to just make myself! Also what exactly do you use as homemade cleaning supplies, I always feel horrible using store bought stuff, but never really tried to figure out how to make my own!

How do you make your sugar scrub?? I just spent 16$ for some (I had a gift card) but it seems like it is something I could definitely be making myself! Also what is in your homemade cleaning supplies??

The scrub recipe is adapted from recipezaar.com. I used a bit less oil and I used apricot kernal oil instead of olive oil. I think I used a scant half cup of oil and 1 cup of sugar. Then you can sprinkle in whatever essential oil you like.

My cleaning supply recipe is not much of a recipe. There are lots of recipes online. I sort of perused a bunch to get an idea. Basically I always have on hand a big cheap jug odf white vinegar, a box of borax, and some essential oils. I probably use about 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water. 2 tbs of borax per cup of water. Then I add essential oils. I always use a bit of tea tree oil (for extra antiseptic properties) and then whatever I want to scent it with, lately peppermint and orange. I think I measured more in the beginning...What's great about it is I use it everwhere, even the floor( linoleum) and it smells good and is so safe to have around my kids.. not to mention much cheaper that citrasolv, which I used to use...
