So cute right? AND I get to wear them with an equally pretty almost-retro, subtly satiny, chocolate brown, shirt dress with a slightly full skirt. Nearly Mad Men material. Pictures next weekend. This weekend I got very little done homework-wise. But, I did go out with two g-friends and I bought a pair of cute shoes that I honestly needed for a wedding. I might've worn my clogs if I wasn't actually IN the wedding...AND later today we have the choice of going to a garlic festival or apple picking. And really soon I am going to go back to reading. My saving grace in the reading department (which I am failing in right now) Is that I have jury duty tomorrow and I have heard that I will probably have some time to read then?

Love those shoes! Fun! I know how you feel about the whole information stored in the brain thing, I discuss this OFTEN with my students. We do a really fun unit on the brain called "learning about learning" anyway, sounds like you are having a packed weekend, can't wait to hear about either the garlic festival or apple picking, both sound awesome!
by the way I am pro-inclusion as well, (even if it is sometimes a lot more work for the teacher ) unfortunately because it is usually done with a teachers aide, and the classroom teacher (obviously) if either of those adults don't do a very good job then I think the student doesn't really benefit....I have seen it done really well and very horribly. It is especially hard at the junior high age because they are so self-conscious and image concerned already!
Thanks for the comment. I love hearing about what practicing teachers think about this stuff. I mostly believe in inclusion I just still don't know if it always works. But I sort of feel like we need to just make it work... ya know? It seems that it may be the only way to get kids on the same exact page, curriculum-wise and it just seems the most democratic thing. But do we have enough resources to make it work everywhere? I don't know...
